For the 25th consecutive year, UK Electrical Installations is thrilled to welcome our latest batch of apprentices. Over the years, we have provided opportunities for more than 40 young people, supporting their journey into the electrical industry.
While a rare few have chosen different paths, many have remained with us, advancing their careers within UK Electrical, while others have gone on to establish their own successful electrical businesses. We are incredibly proud of each apprentice’s achievements and remain committed to fostering the next generation of electricians.
Dave Rose – A True Success Story
Dave Rose, one of our longest-serving team members, is a shining example of what can be achieved through an apprenticeship at UK Electrical. Dave began his career as an electrical apprentice in 1985, working with a local contractor on a variety of domestic and industrial projects. His journey with us began in 1995, and 29 years later, he continues to be a vital part of our team.
Since joining UK Electrical, Dave has advanced from an electrician to an electrical foreman, managing projects across the UK and even abroad. For the past 16 years, he has been a contracts manager, ensuring that projects run smoothly from start to finish;
“The great thing about the electrical industry is that every day is different, the variety of projects and elements involved keeps things interesting. Here at UK Electrical, we see ourselves as one big family. We work hard but also make sure to have fun when the opportunity arises.”
Dave takes particular pride in seeing apprentices grow, develop their skills, and flourish;
“One of the most satisfying aspects of my job is watching young apprentices pass their qualifications, become electricians, and eventually take on leadership roles, such as becoming electrical foremen. It’s incredibly rewarding to see them succeed.”
