UK Electrical Sparks Change for Youngsters in Need Amid Cost-of-Living Crisis

Leading electrical installations company, UK Electrical, has demonstrated its commitment to helping those in need once again. After a successful charity initiative last Christmas, the company has launched its Summer Collection, amassing over £1,500 worth of basic essentials, including food and toiletry items, to support the local St. Basils’ residents.

In response to the mounting cost-of-living crisis, UK Electrical has directed its efforts towards youngsters who have escaped homelessness, and are now living in one of St Basil’s supported accommodation schemes in the West Midlands. These individuals, many of whom are still in the process of setting up their benefits or struggling to make ends meet, will greatly benefit from this generous donation.

The essential goods, collected through the charitable spirit of UK Electrical’s employees, clients, and suppliers, will be distributed to the residents of the local St. Basils centres in Bromsgrove, Redditch and the wider Worcestershire area. This initiative aims to ease their transition and offer some relief during these challenging times.

Debbie Fellows, Operations Director at UK Electrical said,

“We believe in supporting our community, especially those who are most vulnerable. The success of our Christmas collection showed us how much of an impact we could make, and we were determined to continue that positive momentum into the summer.

The UKE staff have been amazing as usual, mucking in with shopping, packing and delivering to St Basils. And a huge thank you goes out to our suppliers including: Eds Continental, City Electrical Factors, Edmunsons West Bromwich, H&S Electrical, KDS Solutions, Avalon, Kingfisher Lighting, Eaton Electric, Parkwood Employment Services, Alpha Installations and Total Electrical”

The company’s Christmas initiative last year was a roaring success, with a massive collection of essential items including bedding, kitchenware, crockery, food items, and toiletry products donated to St Basils centres in the West Midlands. Echoing that goodwill, this summer’s collection will make an equally significant impact, helping to provide a more comfortable living condition for these youngsters in need.

UK Electrical’s continuous endeavours reinforce its role as not only a leading service provider in the electrical industry but also as a socially responsible business devoted to supporting its local community. They are proving that businesses can be a force for good, turning the tide in their community one act of kindness at a time.

As the summer days grow longer, UK Electrical’s donation will lighten the load for many youngsters, giving them a brighter outlook despite the current hardships. It’s a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of community engagement in these uncertain times.
